About the BR3 Black/White
Constructed using the most versatile, comfortable and durable materials available, the all-new BR3 is the absolute gold standard for clubs and school programs. Designed specifically to handle the demands of club and school programs, the BR3 delivers durability, comfort and performance in a more economical package. Harnessing Bont Rowing's renowned and proven anatomically-correct design, the BR3 will take your club, school or individual performances to new heights.
Featuring a lighter, stiffer and lower stack two-piece carbon fibre chassis, BR3 takes our popular PBR3 and delivers better energy transfer, greater durability and reduced bend point force for a more natural and powerful interaction between foot and stretcher.
Our uncompromising approach to club and school-level performance pushes beyond power transfer with a lower forefoot cradle, increased bend point elasticity, wider heel cup counter and achilles gateway for a more versatile fit across the entire size range. Usability is further enhanced with targeted Super Stretch fabric placed around the first and fifth metatarsal for our most supportive and stable anatomical fit yet.
The all-new BR3 retains a tried and proven single-strap Velcro enclosure with FISA and competition-approved safety strap for emergency removal of shoes. The all-new laser cut hydrophobic microfiber upper and anti-stretch backing improves foot hold and stability while the proprietary Vent Mesh takes comfort and ventilation to another level for a more comfortable row for rowers of all foot shapes and sizes.
Material: Two-piece carbon fiber Split Sole, anti-stretch liner, Microfiber and Vent Mesh upper and reinforced bend zone with Super Stretch Flex Zone.
Stack Height: 2.5mm (PBR3 3.6mm) for a close and stable connection between foot and stretcher.
Air Vents: Lazer cut Microfiber and Vent Mesh for improved breathability and rapid drying properties.

Sole Guards: Reinforced high density memory foam to provide improved protection against damage to carbon sole.

I got a pair to install on my home rower. No more strap discomfort on the top of my feet and lifting heel rubbing against the shoe in every stroke. Great price, well-built, and ventilated shoes with partially stiff carbon soles.

NEW SIZING METHOD
To find your Bont Rowing shoe size, download and print our all-new sizing page in US Letter or A4 and follow the instructions exactly as listed. Mark with a straight edge your longest toe and widest part of your foot. Double check the length and width with a ruler to confirm your measurements. Be advised, this is a newly developed sizing page so please send any feedback to our team by clicking the red 'speech bubble' in the corner of the page.
ORIGINAL SIZE METHOD
To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall.
Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall.
Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward onto your forefoot until it reaches an angle of approximately 45-degrees. This position mimics the angle at the catch in a boat. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length.
Use a ruler to measure the length for each foot. Take these measurements and input them into the sizing wizard or reference the Foot Length Range sizing on the size chart.
The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Keep in mind the length of a foot will extend slightly when at the catch. It is for this reason the foot measurement must be taken at its longest point with foot at 45-degree angle.
